BIO: Kathy is originally from suburban Detroit. Kathy took the long way around to writing! She has a BS in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. She’s practiced in several areas of her former profession, but her time in the Navy Nurse Corps holds a special place in her heart, because she met her husband while serving our country. | |

BIO: Born and raised in Toledo Cathy returned to Ohio after six years in Macon, Georgia. Cathy’s return was prompted by the transfer of her husband Bill by Clear Channel Radio to manage the stations in Akron, Canton, Ashland and Mansfield. They live now in North Canton. A graduate of the University of Toledo she worked for 27 years in television, radio and advertising in Toledo. Her temporary retirement in Georgia has been replaced with a new career with Our Town a local North Canton publication. She has three grown sons and seven grand children and says “It’s great to be close to our family. We can watch our children becoming parents and it is certain a blessing to be close to our grandchildren.” Cathy is an avid reader and is a member of two book clubs and has joined the New Neighbors League where she has made great new friends. | |

BIO:Traci was born and raised in Minerva, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Akron with a BS degree in Elementary Education. Traci balances her working time between substitute teaching for the North Canton City Schools and her journalism career. Traci is a member of the North Canton Community Christian Church where she enjoys being a member of the bell choir, prayer shawl knitting circle, and ladies’ circle. She resides in North Canton with her husband Dean, her son Ben and daughter Caroline. | |

BIO: Dan’s writing career began with the Free Press newspaper, where he primarily was a sports reporter, but also wrote feature stories. At the Free Press, he designed ads and paginated pages. Following the Free Press, he wrote sports briefly for The Massillon Independent. For 12 years, he left writing to work in circulation at The Repository, managing independent contractors. In January of 2009, he became general manager of The Suburbanite newspaper in Green and started The Jackson Suburbanite in May of 2010. Currently, Dan is in sales for a local company and enjoys writing for Our Town. He resides in Plain Township with his wife Tera and two children, Serena and J.J. | |
| BIO: Julie was born and raised in North Canton. She is a Hoover High School graduate, and received her B.S. degree from Ohio State University. Her first official writing job began at OSU when she started a monthly newspaper to improve communication between the College of Agriculture, Home Economics and Natural Resources. After living in Dallas for 16 years, she returned to her roots in North Canton. Julie has been employed by American Airlines for 30 years and has been a bookkeeper for the past 13 years at Mathie Supply. She also occasionally substitutes as a classified staff member for North Canton City Schools. Julie has written many grants for Clearmount Elementary School and enjoyed writing the PTO supplement for the Clearmount bi-weekly newsletter during her two term PTO presidency. Julie resides in North Canton with her husband John and their son Robert. | ||
| Sales Representative & Writer Kris Lackey | BIO: Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, Kris spent her childhood moving all over the east coast with her parents and siblings. After graduating from Malone University with a degree in communications she settled in Canton with her husband, Tod. After working in public relations for The Salvation Army and as a supervisor at InfoCision, she took some time off to be at home with her children. Kris is a member of First Friends Church where she also works as the Director of Elementary Programs. She enjoys writing and is happy to be at it again with Our Town. She lives in Canton with her husband and two children. | |

BIO: Molly was born in and lives in Louisville, Ohio. She graduated from Stark State College of Technology with an associate degree in graphic design in the fall of 2010.
